January Storm Damage at St. Ann’s

Back-to-back storms in January had a devastating impact on many areas of the Maine coast. Unfortunately, Kennebunkport and St. Ann’s were not spared. A severe storm, high winds and astronomical high tide contributed to historic damage along the coast affecting homes, roads and basic infrastructure. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by these storms.

The photographs indicate the extent of the damage at St. Ann’s. This includes the Seaside Chapel, the Carriage House, the grounds, and portions of the seawall. Efforts continue to clear debris, restore power and stabilize the seawall to make sure that we are ready for our planned reopening in June. (We expect that only a small portion of the costs will be covered by our insurance.)
