Memorials & Honoraria

Memorials and honoraria are ways to recognize loved one and special people in your life whether living (honoraria) or deceased (memorials).  Gifts made in thanksgiving commemorate special events such as births and marriages.  These dedicated gifts can be general or for specific purposes such as the Preservation Fund.  At your request, St. Ann’s will notify the honoree or a surviving family member of your gift (no amount disclosed).  Altar flowers and teak benches, described below, are among the most common memorial and honoraria gifts.  The Junior Warden and Altar Guild also welcome the opportunity to discuss other potential special gifts that may be needed.

Altar Flowers

The flowers that grace our altar each Sunday are given in memory and in honor of loved ones who have shared Maine and St. Ann’s with us or in thanksgiving for special events and celebrations that have enriched our lives. The suggested contribution is $70.00 and tributes are recognized in the Sunday bulletin on a date of the donor’s choosing.

Teak Benches

The teak benches in the seaside chapel are another way to remember those who have been important to us through commemorative plaques. Children and grandchildren have great fun finding family members among the pews when they return in the summer.

The Junior Warden and Altar Guild also welcome the opportunity to discuss other potential special gifts that may be needed.
